Meet the Founder

Victoria founded Cherrybank Consulting in 2019 and is an accomplished governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) professional and Non-Executive Director, bringing a rare combination of regulatory insight, operational leadership, and boardroom-level advisory experience to fast-growing businesses in the regulated financial sector.

Currently supporting start-ups and scale-ups as a trusted non-executive board member and independent consultant, Victoria provides practical and strategic guidance to founders, executive teams, and boards. Her ability to navigate complexity, embed sustainable risk frameworks, and align governance with commercial goals makes her an invaluable asset to companies preparing for growth, funding rounds, or regulatory scrutiny. Her clear communication style, independence of thought, and practical understanding of both board dynamics and operational execution ensure she adds both strategic challenge and technical depth to any governance structure.

Victoria’s past executive experience includes roles as Director and Chief Operating Officer (FCA Approved Person) for both an asset management and a wealth advice firm, where she led finance, operations, and regulatory implementation across multi-location teams. Prior to this, she served as Group Risk Manager for an international insurance group—building her reputation as a strategic operator who balances enterprise risk with innovation and agility.

Her career foundation was formed at the Bank of England, where she held posts across authorisations, international bank supervision, and insurance, and earned highly competitive secondments to Whitehall and the House of Commons. This early exposure to policy-making and legislative processes now informs her ability to support boards on regulatory shifts, stakeholder communications, and risk oversight.
